Phagwara was built by the famous king in the Indian history, Shah Jahan. The city was built as a market town but as the time passes people got engaged in farming and soon the city took a rural character. Now Phagwara is the main industrial area of Kapurthala district.   • Shiv Mandir: The temple carries a lot of spiritual as well as historical importance. The temple was built by the Nawabs of Sultanpur Lodhi and is situated at Gur Mandi near Imana Nasir mausoleum. The temples showcases a beautiful blend of Muslim-Hindu architecture, the amalgamation is quite evident as the temple’s main gate is built in style of mosque while the rest of the temple is built in Hindu style.
  • Devi Talab Mandir:  Just one Km from the railway station this temple has been renovated and a new temple has been built in its center. The temple is famous for its ‘Hariballabh Sangeet Sammelan’ held every year in December for past 125 years. In Devi Talab, there is a large 200 year old masonry tank held sacred by Hindus. 
  • Gurdwara Chhevin Padshahi: The building is famous as the sixth Guru of the Sikhs, Guru Hargobind visited Jalandhar and he was received by a holy saint named Shaikh Darvesh. The Gurdwara Chhevin Padshahi is situated at the same spot where the meeting was held. Tourist visit this pave to have a glimpse of a handwritten copy of Sri Guru Granth Sahib prepared by the great Sikh Scholar and martyr Baba Deep Singh somewhere between 1715 and 1728.
  • Wonder Land: Weekend Vacation for Phagwara is incomplete without spending a fun filled day at the famous Wonder Land, an amusement park in the city. The park offers adventurous water games and water rides. This place serves a lot of fun, dance, food and rides for everyone.
