Kamptee is a city, in district of Nagpur, Maharashtra. It is at the confluence of 2 rivers Pench and Kolar into Kanhan River. Kamptee was found by the year 1821. It was even established by British for a need of military cantonment which was set up on the banks of Kanhan River. Kamptee was earlier named as Camp-T for the shape it has, in terms of geographical manner. also, it soon emerged as a trading place.
