Jaunpur is a city, municipal board too, which is present in the state of Uttar Pradesh, in the district of Jaunpur. Jaunpur was historically named as Sheeraz-e-Hind which is said to have originated by the year 1359. Sultan of Delhi, Feroz Tughlaq named this city in the cousin’s memory, Muhhammad Tughlaq.
